This practice, transmitted from generation to generation, is the accomplishment of an inalienable domestic ritual, older than ceramics. These Otomis Master craftswomen have been converting simple vegetable fibers into remarkable and rare pieces.As Bignia Kuoni said, their basketry is « quite simply vegetation turned into culture in a material form ».
